We offer a variety of HUD and Rural Development subsidized apartment choices and locations, including one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. 

HUD and Rural Development maintain different eligibility requirements. 

HUD-subsidized properties (English Arms - Danville, IL, Lincoln Manor - Georgetown, IL and Lion Manor - Veedersburg, IN) all allow seniors 62+ as well as adults 18+ that have a qualifying disability.

Rural Development-subsidized properties (Oakwood Manor - Oakwood, IL and Prairie Manor - Ridge Farm, IL) are available for any individual 18+ that meets the income requirement and applicable standards.

Your rent cost is determined by several factors, including current gross annual income of all adults living in the residence. We will go over the details and provide a breakdown of your individual cost. 

Per government requirements, nearing the end of each one-year rental period, you will be required to re-certify your current gross income level. This will determine your exact rent. Your rental amount could go up or down depending on income changes.

You can apply for an apartment by downloading, printing and returning your application form to our main office inside English Arms at 1320 N Vermilion Street, Danville, Illinois 61832.

If it's easier, you can also pick up an application for any of the five locations in the lobby of English Arms as well.
